Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Vermont
At the Office of the Federal Public Defender, we are dedicated to defending indigent persons charged with federal offenses. We are authorized and funded pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act, or CJA, 18 USC § 3006A, et seq.
The District of Vermont includes the entire state, all fourteen counties. District Court locations are in Burlington and Rutland.
Our mission is to represent the interests of our clients with intelligence and courage, using the law and developing all the facts and aspects of our clients’ lives.
Our office will be closed to observed the holidays on December 24 and 25 along with December 31 and January 1.
